Hey y’all! We are back again with another review, sticking with our Featherstone Academy theme but talking about Red and her men.
Yes, I said men, these bitches know what they want and won’t settle for less.
If you are looking for a spicy, dark academy, mafia, why-choose romance with all the feels, this one is for you.
We also have some choices in reading material. You can read both books in this series separately OR you can read Red’s Omnibus and get both books, plus TONS of extra scenes and extending epilogues so you get all the action, pain, successes, and love.
I suggest the latter, because it really gives you deeper insight into the world of Featherstone and how each character is surviving through it.
I really enjoyed this duet because they are from Red’s POV of the events happening in Luna’s story. It feels like you get a complete picture of what went on with Luna and her guys while showing Red growing into her true self. So, if you haven’t read the first three books of Luna’s story, save this post and come back AFTER because—MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!
Red’s background is a little different than Luna's because she knew about the world of Featherstone before attending the college. Her mother, who is the connection Red’s family has to Featherstone, forced her to attend the 4-year high school before starting the one-year university. Red would rather do ANYTHING ELSE than attend the academy for another year with her criminal peers who want nothing to do with her. But that’s not her choice to make while her mother runs her life.
Thankfully, Red and Luna find each other immediately and become instant best friends, giving Red a reason to continue to prove to herself she is more than what her mother believes her to be—which is worthless.
Red is also an avid reader of RH novels, and like me, she’s a woman with great taste. The worlds that she reads about make her wish they were her reality.
Multiple men worshiping the ground she walks on and giving her all the pleasure she can take. 🥵 Luckily for her, she might have found exactly what she asked for with these men.
West Morgan, Luna’s long-time family friend, is as sweet as he is dirty for his sunshine.
The party boy, Aiden Byrnes, who is never to be tied down but gives her all the passion and care she could ask for.
And finally—my personal favorite man—the number one acehole tutor that can’t get Red out from under his skin even if he tried, Maverick Miller.
Red’s growing found-family shows her that she can swim in the waters of Featherstone and come out as the version of herself she’s always wanted to be. The opposite person her mother has always told her she would become.
So, will Red become the phoenix she is meant to be and rise from the ashes that her mother has created of her life? Guess you better read the book to find out. 😘
I’m dying to know what you think of this bunch of aceholes! Let me know your thoughts in the chat!👇
